AMAKA | 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AND THE POWER ISSUE LAUNCH PARTY - LONDON
Devised and produced event to celebrating AMAKA’s one year anniversary and launch of their first digital magazine issue, ‘ The Power Issue’.
The event was hosted by Julie Adenuga and saw performances by Shaybo, Deto Black and Tomi Agapè, who performed to an audience of over 400 people.
As AMAKA is dedicated to women from Africa and Across the diaspora, the event also saw an ‘AMAKA Marketplace’ pop-up shop with African women owned businesses such as Kitsch Noir and Omolola as well as food and drink by Black and African women owned businesses, which were Brazza, Puff Puff Ministry and Fiyah Wata.
THE ACTION! PARTY - LAGOS, NIGERIA
Produced AMAKA’s first Africa-based event in Lagos, Nigeria; to celebrate Pan-African women and the launch of film focused magazine instalment, The Action! Issue.
The movie themed evening was truly unforgettable for over 350 guests who all excelled in following the Movie Star dress code.
The night was filled with top-tier performances by rapper SGaWD, FAVE and Nigerian Superstar, Teni the Entertainer!
An all female lineup also included women on the decks who kept the party going with DJs Dope Caesar, Wanni x Handi, Ms DSF and Barbie all playing throughout the night.
Hosted by Melody Ifeanyi Adigo (M.I.A) guests were entertained, and also enjoyed a pop up gallery, a screening room and film themed photo opportunities as well as food from Kewa’s Kitchen and drinks from Lagos’ favourite, Quacktails!
Securing, Jameson as drinks sponsor for the event - we were able to create a pop up Jameson bar and photo booth complemented by movie themed cocktails.
